New School Café

Dear Principal,
I think it’s a good idea to want to build a new student café in the school, students will probably be happy. I suggest that the café could open at 8.30am, students could come and have their breakfast, drinking some coffee and eating fruit or other. After lessons finish, the café could be open until 6.00pm, students could stay doing their homework together. For lunch I suggest Italian food which would be appreciated by a lot of people and you can propose some alcohol just for the lunch, like beer or wine. Also, have you thought about changing the décor? You could put some relaxing music on during lunch but I think not the afternoon if students want to work.

I think the idea of providing food is an excellent suggestion and one that should be seriously considered. We are always looking at ways to improve the quality of service provided. However, it is not simply a case of starting a cafe and there are logistical problems with the design of the building as well as health and safety issues to consider. I think we should look at the options we currently have available and what work would be needed to make this very good suggestion a reality.
Not sure about the alcohol though!!! Jon
